So I bought these because of the good reviews, I'm in Washington so it rains a lot and we see a lot of different weather conditions. So the first day I used it on my 428i there was light rain and stitching when I removed the case it went through this case which wasn't weatherproof. I agree that it's a bit firm for the first use, but not after that. definitely not what you want for external use. Better to store in a garage.
