Decent speaker. Very little documentation. You need a big body.

I bought this speaker to test it. I currently have an 8" SVC 4 ohm 600 watt subwoofer in a small cabinet in my truck. I'm planning to install 2 subwoofers and wanted to see if it's worth the money. I connected it in 2 ohm and 8 ohm configuration. seems to work fine both ways until I installed it in my little box. This is not a flat speaker and as such I couldn't fit it properly into the box so I installed and tested it upside down. My box is about 0.5 cubic feet. This speaker needs a much larger box. My guess is that if the manufacturers had actually printed the recommended volume, the suggestion would be 1-1.25cc. Futa I will not be using this speaker as I need a much smaller enclosure for my center console. gatherings. I only gave this speaker 3 stars due to the lack of documentation. There are very few features on this list. There are some missing specs which I think are very important such as: B. the RMS rating, the recommended case volume and the frequency information. Luckily, I know my way around voice coil wiring so I had no trouble hooking up the speaker, but there weren't any schematics or indications of depth required either. It has a table of distances from the back of the magnet to the mounting surface, but does not show the recommended distance from the back of the magnet to the case wall. I am assuming that this speaker will need at least 1 inch of space under the speaker. Keep that in mind when considering this product. For the money it's probably worth it if you don't worry about how big your box is going to be. . You'll need to tweak the playback to get the right setup, but it should sound good if all the right conditions are met. Remember that with any subwoofer, the power of the speaker should not be derated. I see that too often in reviews. People will say they put a 100W RMS amp on top of a 300W RMS subwoofer. If RMS is 300W, use an amplifier with a minimum RMS power rating of 300W and under. Do a little research if you're unfamiliar with power ratings so you don't burn through a bunch of speakers. You don't have to spend a fortune on a stereo to get good sound if you know how to set it up properly. .
