Perfect Sourdough Proofer

I have never used a Banneton proofer. I haven't baked bread for a long time. My favorite is of course sourdough bread. It has a delicately tart flavor that tops the head and shoulders. As a plus, I got a great e-book that includes not only the sourdough recipe but many other recipes as well. I can't wait to try this. When the 9 inch proofing basket arrived I couldn't wait to bake an impressive loaf. The sourdough was made ahead of time and was ready for the artisanal bread recipe. But first, I followed the preparation and conditioning instructions in the brochure exactly. I used the supplied brush to loosen any wood particles and dust. Sprinkle lightly with water to wet the banneton basket for easier flouring of the bowl. I filled the basket with regular flour. It's recommended to use rice flour, although it seems to work well. When it came time, I put the dough in the basket to help it rise and get this nice round shape with the ring pattern out of the basket. Well risen I put it on a baking sheet as soon as it's ready for the oven I honestly had to I expected it to stick and be a mess. But that's not the case. The batter slid right into the pan and took on a perfectly nice round shape. Very impressed with the quality of the proofing basket. I love the way the red tone cane looks and is braided into the basket. The basket order came with instructions, a basket, a cleaning brush, a scraper, a slice of bread, a cloth liner, and an e-book of recipes. I am very happy with this order and am planning to bake some bread to share with my family. I will recommend it to friends.
