I'll admit I was a little hesitant to try this KVM, but after a few days of research I decided the price was worth the risk. KVM works as advertised and I couldn't. I'm using a standard mechanical keyboard (no dedicated gaming function keys, etc.) and everything works, including the hotkey to toggle. I use a gaming mouse, which worries me as mouse input is emulated on KVM for shared devices (to avoid USB lag when switching). This emulation prevents the extra buttons on gaming mice from working on shared devices. The solution is to plug the mouse into a shared USB port on the KVM. After that, the mouse works as expected. There is a slight delay due to the mouse driver having to load when switching to each device, but the delay isn't really noticeable. Until the monitor syncs and displays the desktop, the mouse works. I was also skeptical about the video quality and whether it can actually handle UHD @ 60Hz, but it works fine. I don't really notice any difference to a monitor connected directly to the device. And to top it off, the technical support is very responsive and helpful. I had a problem with a random key combination. I went to the product's website, poked around and couldn't find an answer, so I filled out the support form and received an answer within an hour or two (midday). They were able to answer my questions and get me back to where I wanted to be. All in all, this is a good device at a good price.
