I ordered this product despite the negative reviews. After spending some time researching OEM replacement parts and evaluating pricing and shipping, I decided it was worth a try. So far he has held up very well. I should probably mention that after this replacement I put this particular blender on a lighter setting as I believe I damaged the motor when I broke the first worm gear. I now use the 650w version for baking bread and such (it works much better anyway). I've used a new worm gear for easy mixing and it seems to be exactly what I was hoping for, although it seems a little louder than the original. It may be because I damaged the engine. It has withstood all types of light mixes at all speeds for prolonged use. I recommend trying it out if this is the part you need for your 450w kitchen mixer model.
