Review on John Boos Block WAL-B9S Square Walnut Wood Edge Grain Cutting Board With Feet, 9 Inches Square, 1.5 Inches Thick by Paul Tucker

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice footed block, but takes a lot more care than my old one.

I replace my old cutting board when I moved and left it for my ex-husband. It was less than half the cost of the Boos Block and I never had to oil or treat it and it still worked great after 10 years (maybe I should have kept it). The Boos Block is fine, but is drier and needs more maintenance than any of my other cutting boards.which are also several years old. I bought this on as it had feet which I like. I think you are paying a lot for the brand name on this, but footed cutting boards are harder to find now, so I bought it. If this one last it will be worth the money.

Pros
  • Beautiful craftsmanship.
Cons
  • May require frequent sanding to remove stains or scratches
