Review on Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Fixed Lens - Discontinued by Manufacturer by Bambang (Bamz) ᠌

I suffered with this lens for more than a year. Thought I had crooked hands. It is almost impossible to achieve focus with an open aperture. Camera 550D (I tried it on 3 copies - I couldn’t believe that Canon could produce an unusable product (about the lens)). The statistics are about the same. From a tripod, with phase detection autofocus, 60% hits on targets, 10% on people; with contrast focus (live view) target 90%, people 20%. I cannot accept any arguments about the price - the lens does not work. If, nevertheless, someone decides to buy, be sure to make a sighting series. Maybe it works on some cameras.
