Review on πŸ”§ Enhanced 17-Piece Electronics Repair Screwdriver Set by Amazon Basics by Francisco Yim

Revainrating 3 out of 5

[32 items] - A decent starter pack or small travel pack for the price.

[TL;DR] I think it's good value for the money and will work just fine with your iFixit bits. I paid $13.49 for this 32 piece set. For the price I think it is good value for money. There are a few things I feel are missing, most notably a scratch resistant blob that reduces this kit's usefulness as an all-in-one electronics repair kit. However, it is sold specifically as an "Electronics Repair Screwdriver Set" so I can't fault it. That's what he says, and the non-screwdriver treats he has are just treats. Add to. The reason I'm bringing up this topic in the first place is that it leads to what I believe to be this set's greatest weakness. It only has 24 bits, and only one bit is tamper proof (with a small hole in the end). This means that in many situations in the electronics repair business, you simply don't have the bits you need. I think the best design choice would be to omit the extra goodies and provide a better set of bits. Luckily the screwdriver in this set uses "standard precision bits" which are about 5/32" or 4mm for the shank, so if you have or can find additional bits with that size shank they should go well with the Screwdrivers fit.. The driver is the star of this kit in my opinion and mostly justifies its price. The driver in this kit compares well to the driver in my iFixit toolbox and the iFixit bits go very well with the RevainBasics driver The iFixit precision screwdriver is available now for only $9.99 per screwdriver with no shipping. For an additional $3.48, this kit gets you 24 bits, an extension cable, tweezers, a SIM eject tool, two small pry bars , a pick (it looks like a more durable guitar pick), a suction cup and a case. . Decent value for money, it's pretty good at $3.48 Invest in a good set of bits (si (e can go up to $25 for a reasonable set) and a few spatulas and you have a pretty decent electronics repair starter kit.
