This filter took less than a month. Don't be fooled by claims of over a year of use. This can go on for so long if you have an extreme water filtration system that completely cleans the water before it hits that filter. Don't do what I did - buy the pre-system this company makes. They claim it lasts 18 months but I only used it for 4 months. and replacement filters for my pre-filter system cost $180. So basically I can either pay $60 a month using this filter or $45 a month buying filters for the pre-system. There are significantly cheaper alternatives.
