I ordered a candle lighter Arc lighter USB rechargeable plasma lighter Windproof flameless long lighter with 360° flexible throat grill Battery indicator I found that with my portable version I had to get my hand so close to what I was lighting (since there is no flame) and it was difficult to use. This lighter solved all my problems I had. This is amazing stuff. It's durable and feels strong, and comes in a box for safekeeping, along with a small micro-USB charging cable (you'll need your own adapter if you don't have access to a USB outlet). in the on position, otherwise pressing the button on the front panel to create an arc will not work. The handle is comfortable to hold and the long neck of the lighter can be adjusted and bent in any desired direction. This is incredibly handy for lighting candles or backyard fires. The thumb switch is easy to push forward for an instant arc, and it lights up instantly when placed on the surface I'm trying to strike. I like that no lighter fluid is needed here - just electricity. If needed, I could even charge it with a portable battery or my solar panel. This makes it really eco-friendly in my opinion and is the best option (assuming it works for a long time) in case of an accident or a long power outage. Thumb button forward to activate) there is a small blue arc at the tip that produces a quiet hiss that isn't loud or annoying at all. It just sounds like electrical sparks or something. I'm still getting used to it and plan on leaving it in the box for security, but I really like it. The only real downside is that you still have to get the tip of the arc close to the object you're lighting (basically by touching the object), which can foul the tip of the lighter. I've found that I have to turn it off, turn off the fuse, and then occasionally wipe the tip after lighting the candle as a bit of burnt wick ends up sticking to the tip. However, I'd rather do that than realize I'm out of lighter fluid and don't have a working lighter at home or when I'm camping. I really recommend it.
