Just a disclaimer if you didn't read the description: these bowls are NOT symmetrical! They are not intended to be as they are hand finished.These are pretty nice stoneware. Heavy, as expected. The bottom is not glazed, but that seems to be a style choice. The design is interesting enough that you can pair with modern plates, or you can mix and match traditional styles for an eclectic table.It says dishwasher and microwave safe, but I would probably hand wash and towel dry because the bottom is not glazed so may eventually become porous if water is left on it too long.Standard dinner plate was placed underneath so you can see the size. Good bowl for pasta or salad.This may become pricey if you need to plate a table of 12. Nice house warming gift.
