I make smoothies every morning and always use reusable straws (some soft, some hard). They are good for the environment but not so good for my health because they are EXTREMELY difficult to clean. Even with straw brushes I have trouble cleaning them. However, for thick smoothies in the 24 oz tall Tervis, there are neither long diameter straws (which are too narrow) nor large diameter smoothie straws (which are too short). Trying to find the perfect smoothie straw is like Goldilocks trying to find the perfect mash. When I found these straws here at Revain I was thrilled. They're extra wide to fit thicker cocktails, long enough to fit my Tervis glasses and other large 24-32oz glasses, and are disposable so you don't have to worry about mold! wrapped straws (yes, I know with all that plastic they're bad for the environment). All straws are clear with colored stripes and VERY wide as stated in the description. They are too wide to fit the lids of some jars, but I can fit them in the lids of Tervis straws. The bottom of the straws is angled which helps when making cocktails as there is no siphoning problem. I recommend this to anyone who needs a wide straw for smoothies, milkshakes or similar uses.
