I use them for grinding and preparing for Polishing mostly sterling silver jewelry. The grit goes from pink (too abrasive so useless) to green (sort of rubber compound) to white which feels and needs polishing/sanding compound. The green color works well as an intermediate material to prepare the part for Tripoli polishing. Some parts are not well aligned with the shaft and will cause vibration. You must rotate them against a hardened steel tool to align them. Overall good value for money.
