I bought both Omni and this Yagi antenna. I'm pretty close to cell phone towers but I live on top of a hill which blocks the signal. In my case, the omnidirectional antenna worked better because it picked up different cellular signals from different carriers. Yagi gave me the same results for a carrier when I targeted it, but I lost other carriers. I wanted all the carriers to be amplified so visitors could get a decent signal. Bottom line, the Yagi didn't give me a better signal compared to an omnidirectional antenna.
