As can be seen in the pictures the small retaining ring (which is designed to prevent the pressed metal threads from being pulled out of the plastic head) was pushed into an offset which resulted in this a vertical lip holding the head from the seat to the midline. This caused enough wobble to dangle the felt pad - not what you want on new, yet soft paint. It's easy to see when you put it on the drill and pull the trigger, but if someone's not careful it can make life harder than it needs to be. It's not enough (for me) to send it back because it's easy to fix, and not enough to put me off buying from the seller. Otherwise great pads, I like them. I just wanted to warn you.
