Stepper motors get hot compared to previous models

I've been talking about buying a V2 or the original Ender 3 and using the money saved to pay for upgrades. I'm really starting to think this would be the best choice as I'm running into serious problems with stepper motor overheating causing serious layer shift issues. The first image is the Y-axis stepper motor, which reaches a searing temperature of 79.7Β°C after about an hour of printing. The second picture is the extruder motor which reaches almost 63Β°C and gets so hot that it transfers heat to the extruder gears and softens the filament even before it reaches the cables causing jams. These stepper motors shouldn't even be running at half those temperatures, the extruder stepper motor shouldn't be much higher than about 30 degrees Celsius, and neither should the Y-axis. I didn't even bother to check the X axis because I was so disgusted with what I had already done. Apparently the solution to this problem is to spend another $40 for a newer version of the motherboard which seems to fix the problem. Before purchasing I emailed the company and asked them about the rumors that the 4.2.2 motherboard has stepper motor overheating issues. engines and they assured me they would take care of it. Obviously not! It's quite embarrassing because it has the potential to be a great printer, especially when paired with something like the CR Touch, but overheating of the stepper motors makes it a non-starter. At this point I couldn't print anything that would take more than an hour as the stepper motors start to overheat and again cause significant layer shifting. Then there was a problem with the POM roller wheels, they were factory set so tight that they left flat spots that cause nicks when moved. If you don't know it, it's the wheels rolling in profiles and printing precision. They are made of soft nylon and if they are too tight they will create a flat spot. Each time the wheel spins that flat spot, the bed jerks or shifts, creating a layer shift in the print. The only way to fix this is to swap the roles. They really need to ship them out of the factory a little loose for the end user to adjust because once they have the flats they are useless and need to be replaced.
