Bonsaii EverShred Pro 4S30 vs Fellowes 99ci

I bought this shredder to replace a Fellowes 99 shredder which mechanism broke after six years of heavy use. It's slower than the Fellowes shredder, has a narrower chute, shreds only ten pages at a time (compared to the Fellows 18) and has no touch safety shutoff. But it is quieter and built like a Mac truck. Fifteen minutes later Fellowes looked like an asthmatic sprinter. He was out of breath, he needed to cool down. Bonsai just smiles. Think of Eveready Bunny with lots of very sharp knives. For me, safety comes first. Unlike Fellowes' transverse bands, it would be almost impossible to reconstruct bonsaii microsection fragments into a document. With strands smaller than many font sizes, there's just no idea where to even begin. CDs and DVDs are fed into a separate slot that cuts them into strips. I suppose if you have enough time, effort and friends in the NSA you will be able to recover some data, but the effort will be significant. Fellowes uses the main CD slot and cuts them like paper. I'm certainly not worried and I'm dealing with HIPAA-protected data all the time. The only thing that really annoys you? Roll. They should be larger and roll smoother. Other reviewers have commented on them and they are absolutely right. They just don't roll smoothly and that's on a hardwood floor. An expensive document shredder should not skimp on something like that. After a month of use I am very satisfied. It does what I need and does it very well. Highly recommended!
