Just got this and installed it on my 1997 GMC Safari. The packaging was really well thought out and I was impressed to see that it came with a 'permission card'. Apparently they check the status before sending. Fit and finish was excellent, with an output voltage of 14.2V DC measured on the stand. What's particularly impressive is that the thing makes NO noise at all. I mean not just in comparison to the old one, but to most alternators I've installed (I've been pulling wrenches for over 4 decades). Even with a stethoscope, I can't hear the bearing noise at all.
