Hotplates heat up to high temperatures and transfer boiling heat to liquids. This device tries to work on the same principle, but the lower plate does not reach a very low temperature. It won't get cold. It won't get cold. At best, it will be a little colder than the surrounding air. Then there is nothing that would distribute the temperature throughout the room - no fans, nothing like that. Stick to freezer packs or save up for an office mini-fridge. A disappointment apart from the fun design.
