They pay you to use them. I mean, the batteries alone are worth the price.

But remember, because here's the thing, kids: go to the hardware store and ask for steel washers (I used stainless steel) that will just about allow the handlebar clamp bolts through. One on each side of each clamp. Just four pucks. If you have a choice, make them as tall as the wide clip. This way the screws don't go through the plastic clips. Come on . . . For the price it doesn't really matter. If you are concerned about light bouncing off the top of the headlight bracket, rotate the lamp away from the flat surfaces in the bracket and toward where the round portion of the light is in the bracket. Note that the brand name then faces up as expected (but forgot to mention this in the instructions). And when you do, the pocket clip now wraps around the mount and helps keep the flashlight in place! The plastic disks some people have been talking about: if the disk falls into the headlight tube, turn the tube upside down and tap it on a hard surface and . . . the disc falls out. That's a problem ? ? ? Throw away the discs, they are packaging material. The quality of the headlights is unbeatable for the price. It seems to me that at any moment I will wake up, and all this will turn out to be a dream. I am reporting to commute to work in Colorado after some serious use = hard ice riding and snow gullies in the winter. PS: It took four hours to fully charge my batteries = much less than what the instructions say. When I tested the batteries in the light before charging, they were completely discharged; no flickering light from the headlight. After charging Oh yes baby!
