Review on High-Speed USB 2.0 7-Port Economy Hub - Optimize Your Device Connectivity by Paarvin Freedman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well designed, stylish and reliable

Almost every peripheral or device that can be connected to a PC today uses a USB port, from printers to mice, external drives, PDAs, wireless adapters and flash memory . It won't be long before the top of your desk disappears under a tangled mess of cables. Personally, I got to a point where my old 4-port 1.0 hub and two 2.0 inputs on my laptop just couldn't handle it anymore. And I didn't want a second hub to add to the clutter in my home office workspace. Additionally, the widespread adoption of the faster USB 2.0 technology standard has made version 1.0 almost obsolete. frankly expensive. Most were identical production models with a different company logo on the top. Then Belkin stepped into that market segment and made my choice easier. Here's why: 1. I've had Belkin USB hubs in the past and found them well built and very reliable. This is important to me because of the high failure rates I've experienced with less expensive generic hubs. Although the USB hub seems like a simple device, it has quickly become an integral part of the hardware of every computer system.2. The slim, sleek, ergonomic design was attractive, and the two ports on the top of the device (in addition to the five on the back) were perfect for mice and flash drives -- although I didn't realize it at the time. .3. Decent price, all things considered. From the moment I plugged this hub in six months ago, it has worked flawlessly. I love it. In fact, I recently bought two more, one for my daughter's laptop and the other as a Christmas present. You simply can't go wrong here.
