I think everything Baldwin does is top notch and this item is no exception. I have had 14 such locks at home for 10 years, three of which are very close to my pool. In case you didn't know, the proximity to the pool leads to corrosion problems. The finish perfectly withstands such harsh conditions. Corrosive-oxidative deposits form near the pool, but they can be easily removed. I don't clean, so I don't treat them for long periods of time, and I have no problem keeping them looking new after a quick cleaning. I tried another cheaper set of locks and the finish didn't hold up to salt/chlorine. If you are looking for a reliable and durable lock installation solution, this is the ticket. Another benefit of Baldwin is that these are the exact same locks I bought 10 years ago. Some companies can't wait for their product to fail, so they buy a new model or end up swapping them all out to match the new design. Not Baldwin. I needed a replacement after attempting to open it when this lock stopped working. The thief put a screwdriver in the keyhole, but the lock still worked.
