I've owned several Koss phones over the years and recently after Jack's disappearance I've started switching to Bluetooth versions. I also own a number of their top BT540i phones so they mostly compare them to the ones I really like (bought them as a gift for my son and tried them for reference). The sound isn't quite on par with the 540i, but is surprisingly good considering the price difference. Light weight is a plus, but the reason for one star less is that the amount of plastic used to achieve such light weight makes them feel a bit more brittle than some. There weren't any durability issues, so this is more of a perception than an issue. The controls are nice and very easy to access/use and the battery life is also very good. The D-shaped earpads are more comfortable for extended wear than the 540's round earcups (which are still comfortable, but the D-shape will appeal to those with larger ears). Overall very good value for money. , if they have the typical Koss quality, they will be used for many, many years.
