After purchasing a Swingline punch with a paper guide that kept slipping and making off-center holes, I decided to spend a few bucks more on a heavier, better quality Acco-Style punch. to invest punches. This thing is strong, non-slip, and will punch through a good stack of paper. Highly recommended.
