I used the previous NOLYTH model that I use for work (not mine). This drive ran flawlessly and was fairly quiet for both playback and recording, so I decided to get my own to back up data, music and movies. This device looks very good and comes in a very nice case. I just opened it up, plugged it in and as soon as I put the disk in the computer (Macbook Pro 2017) I recognized the disk immediately. Everything ran smoothly when testing music CDs, data BRs and movie BRs. Recording of BR and music CDs. A NOTICE. At least macOS has a DVD player app, but you need a BR player app to play BR discs and/or rip/burn movies/music. Finding both free and paid applications of this type is not difficult. A really nice addition are 2 USB 3 ports and an SD card input. Now I use the plate as a USB hub! Very happy with the board so far. I haven't had it that long but I hope it lasts as long as what I've had for about a year now. I can't think of anything that could improve this drive. I am very happy with it.
