A very good device with an equally good carrying case!

Was not only looking for a Blu-ray player to watch movies but also for a recorder. I've only had it for a few weeks so far, but this device works very well. No software is included. There are many software available for purchase or free, just search. You get a reader/writer, various cables and a nice bag to take everything with you. Fantastic customer service and great drive

I need an external drive for my MacBook Pro (Retina 13" Early 2015). This drive conveniently comes with a USC C-to-B adapter which allows it made it easy to hook up to my old machine. Software wise, I downloaded some files from VLC that allowed BRD to be played and I was away! Build quality is excellent, all disc media fit. Switch it on and it is recognized. Malfunction. Bluray discs are not always read.

Don't be fooled if you happen to be reading the first disc you insert. I tried 5 Blu-ray Discs with this drive and it could only read 3 of them. . For the other two, it kept turning itself off after working for a few seconds. I was also only able to get this drive to work on my Windows desktop. On my Macbook Pro and my Razer laptop running Linux, it started spinning, then restarting, shutting down after a few seconds, and then booting up again, in an endless loop of uselessness. Very good blu-ray player/recorder

I received this small disc to use with my Dell laptop. I have a Sony drive that I've been using for several years BUT I DON'T LIKE MY SONY BECAUSE TWO USB PORTS ARE NECESSARY TO WORK. This drive only needs one connector, a USB C connector, so I compared that to SONY and found the picture better. Customer service is fantastic. They email me the user manual in advance and offer help when I need it. The drive is not noisy, there is no vibration. It looks good and works well. I haven't had a chance

Plug and Play!: Optical Drives

I used the previous NOLYTH model that I use for work (not mine). This drive ran flawlessly and was fairly quiet for both playback and recording, so I decided to get my own to back up data, music and movies. I have an old, big, heavy LaCie Firewire CD/DVD burner that worked fine on my 10-year-old 17-inch MacBook Pro (with Firewire port), but also old on the computer and it's time for an upgrade.
