These shovels were bought as a gift and while they are sturdy and appear to work properly the aesthetics are a bit off. Packaged with a cheap cardboard backing, they don't fold neatly, instead bulging uncomfortably when stacked. This is very strong steel, much thicker than you really need to hold such a small amount of ingredients. Some of the edges are a little rough and uneven, and the finish is also uneven and prone to staining where some spoons are pressed tightly together. However, the handles are comfortable, smooth, and long enough to fit in large spice jars. Overall, the shape of the spoons and the addition of 1/8 and 3/4 teaspoons to the standard set should make this set versatile and affordable, despite a few flaws.
