Well. We tested it well the first time we used it. Spilled a whole glass of red wine and also spilled a decent 2″ etc fat drop of blood from a beef tenderloin. I used a little stain remover and the wine bled and turned dark purple so I figured I definitely ruined it. nope! The fabric was clean the first time! (And I haven't had time to wash it or do anything other than wet it for at least 5 hours.) The only thing I don't care about is the stitching around the fabric. I could tell he had one and knew I probably wouldn't like it. I ordered it anyway because I liked the look. So the seam is fine when I use my extensions, but I don't care if I don't have the extra length. I'm still glad I bought it because it washes well.
