I bought my first one a year ago and it still looks brand new. Just got another one. Directions for Use: When installing the fuel nozzle into the fuel filler neck, be sure to place the nozzle INSIDE the filter basket of the combination spark arrestor; the basket sieve is narrower than the filling opening. I didn't fully insert the nozzle so I spilled a small amount of gas. One of the great features is the rim around the bottom of the tank. The tank sits on a rim, not a flat metal floor such as cement. My 4 year old canister had a flat bottom that sat on cement and had a hole in it for a pen, so I recommend putting the canister on wooden spacers.
