Two bad relays. on wiper motor

The first sensor I bought failed after 5 intermittent strokes. Thinking it was just a faulty relay I bought a second one. Not only did it break after three jerky movements, but it also hummed loudly at high speed. I ended up having to look for the original relay in a landfill. It works perfectly. This is my 1984 VW Rabbit Deluxe Convertible.
