Review on 📀 Enhanced Archgon MD-3102S-U3 USB 3.0 External Blu-ray Combo with Advanced Features by Philip Anderson

I bought this to play Blu-ray on my computer. I would give it five stars but it didn't come with the software to run it. It came with a CYBERLINK MEDIA demo CD. Out of the box everything worked fine. I played the Blu-ray movie to make sure everything works. I breathed a sigh of relief when everything was up and running in just fifteen minutes. I switched off and was happy. When I tried to finish watching the Blu-ray, it said it couldn't read the Blu-ray. At some point I realized that the demo only allows one playback. There was no documentation with the player other than the disc. It required an upgrade ($60) which cost almost as much as the player itself. I read some of the reviews that mentioned this so I was ready to pay. This part was easy. The download and installation took several hours. I'm not sure because I had to take a few breaks because of the frustration. It only took about an hour to download as you need to download four different files to get all the applications. I'm on cable with their best package and my speed is above average. The frustration started when I tried to install the software. There are no instructions, so you'll have to figure it out yourself. It took me at least another hour of "cannot find file", "file is corrupt" and "enter product key code" before finally getting it to work. ****** IMPORTANT ******** When you register the software, you will receive an email with a product key code. Without these, you cannot complete the installation. This is not the same as the product key code that came with the original demo CD. After I started the software, everything works fine. Aside from having two big icons for a bunch of apps I'll never use. I tried moving them to the files folder on the desktop but to no avail. I'm afraid to delete more than mouse button for fear of breaking the package.
