Firstly, when removing a spring, I found the easiest way to take this spring removal tool and make sure you squeeze as much of the spring as possible. You may need to turn the spring slightly with a flathead screwdriver. Be sure to drive the spring tool all the way onto the spring and use a ratchet wrench to tighten the spring tool. Once the spring is out, use a saw to cut off the top of the pin and the bottom of the old pin. Then simply lever out the other parts with a screwdriver. After that you can insert a new pin and have no problems. Once it shows up, you should tackle the other side of your truck because it works so much better.
