I have very large hands. These fit my hands perfectly. And the handles are not thick. I live with the scissors in the kitchen. I cut/slice mushrooms, tomatoes and olives in a jar. I cook chicken, pork and beef THEN I cut them up with scissors after adding them to the recipe (no waste of juice). Chop the tomatoes (or whatever) even more if you add them to the recipe. They are made in Japan and the loop and blade are very nice and strong. I've had them for almost 2 years and only had to buy another pair (as a backup) because I HATE not being able to find them again. Oh yes, the easy cleaning with a simple pull. I used to have a lot of kitchen scissors. A lot of. (German, Korean, Chinese, etc.). nothing compares to these zhenyas.
