Exactly what I needed. I'm using this to control the temperature of a Peltier water cooler I'm building and it's working fine. It is fully programmable for heating or cooling. I set it to turn on when the water reaches 68 degrees Fahrenheit and turn off at 65 degrees Fahrenheit. You simply set the switch-on temperature and the difference, which in my case is 3 degrees. It has a built in high temperature alarm that turns everything but the alarm on and off automatically if for some reason it doesn't cool below a set upper range e.g. B. a fan or water pump failure. This protects the Peltier from thermal runaway. I recommend using an appropriately sized built-in fuse for the load. It comes with a schematic attached to the top, as well as relatively clear instructions on how to program it. Another model of the same device I had didn't have a manual and had to go to YouTube to find out how to program it. It has clear instructions. Note that the orange clips slide off the back so you can slide the controller into the panel, then slide the orange clips into place to hold it securely. It wasn't in the instructions, but it was easy enough to figure out. This model has the option to select F or C for the display. The other one I had was Celsius only. It comes with either 12V DC or 110V DC, so make sure you order the one that suits your needs. The choice of heating or cooling is made by the terminals you connect to. There are two clamps for heating or two more clamps for cooling. The function does not have to be programmed. It automatically recognizes your selection based on the end devices you are using. You will need to make a wire shunt to go from the positive input to the cold or warm terminals as required. I see where this can be a great way to provide temperature control for incubators, brooders or pet heaters. Please note that it is rated for 10 amps. If you need to carry a large load, simply connect it to an appropriately sized relay. Know your load and stay safe under it, or as I said use an appropriate relay. I prefer relays with built in diodes so the reverse voltage doesn't trip anything. Shop and have fun.
