I've had the 49w model since August and to be honest I can't connect much with it to make it readable on my 2018 MacBook Pro. My Lacie Rugged drive will not connect to the USB-C port on the hub. - When I plug my power adapter into the USB-C port, my MBP keeps draining and will be 0% at 3pm if I'm on my MBP all the time. - I can't connect my Apple Thunderbolt Theater to the miniDV port or the Lightning USB-C port I'm currently using to connect to my MBP. It's very hot to the touch - even when it's not full of connected devices. The general build quality is great, but what I used the most was connecting a laptop fan to it. (USB) and a memory card reader (USB), so it kind of doesn't make sense to have that many ports if it can't handle them. The HDMI port is also ideal for connecting HDMI-capable monitors. For now I feel like it occupies the needed USB-C port instead of tweaking all the peripherals.
