I collect scissors, there are at least 2 pairs in every room in my house. I have a lot of scissors in my workshop. However, I don't know how I functioned without them. They're expensive, but definitely worth it. I make cards and sometimes when I layer a lot and use foam to add volume to my work and then have to cut the card it can be a challenge to get it straight. I've used my large guillotine paper cutter to do these jobs but still haven't gotten really good results. There's something special about these scissors, I think they call it "strength". not sure how it works but it's awesome! The blades move and you can cut through large layers without tearing or twisting the layers. You won't regret investing in them, especially if you're into mixed media, card making, and even scrapbooking. good luck and have fun!
