Read many reviews. I started with the bad and then the good. I took a risk I saw this product on the Quadratec website and saw that there were good things about it. This trunk was mounted on a JL with a standard 20" tire with cover. Assembly took about 20 minutes. Make sure you have two 7/16 inch wrenches to tighten the bolts. Contrary to the instructions, I attached the lower straps to the door under the bumper as shown by Quadratec. This allowed the door to be moved as needed. Both bikes were for kids with chain covers. The lid was a bit tricky to put on and take off with the plastic snaps, but it worked. I needed to get the bikes to a good spot where the mount would be secure. I've ridden over 1,000 miles with these guys in the back of a jeep and never lost my bike. They were secure and never came loose across the terrain. Happy adventures and have fun. This is a good and inexpensive carrier that is worth the money.
