It took much longer than I expected to find a replacement for my previous kettle. That's it! It's beautiful and durable and looks great. There are no fragile parts on the handle to break or melt. The plastic on the handle gets hot, but not enough to require a hot glove. I bought another kettle with a plastic button to open the spout lid and returned it because the button mechanism broke on the second day! Not much can go wrong with this kettle - it looks and feels high quality. After a few days there was a stain on the underside where it rests on the burner but I rubbed it with a wet sponge and it went away.
