I've always wanted a cheese slicer and with the holidays approaching I thought it was the perfect time to buy one. I was amazed at how light this product was. I hoped it wouldn't be bulky or heavy, and to my surprise it wasn't. My daughter loves cheese so the first thing I tried was cheddar. The disc easily cuts through the cheese. It was like cutting butter. The next evening I baked ziti. I don't like grated mozzarella and always use fresh. Does anyone know that slicing mozzarella can be painful and usually mashes the cheese. I took a paper towel and rubbed some olive oil on the cutting wire and the slicer sliced smoothly through the mozzarella. Cleaning the item was easy. I just used warm soapy water and dried with a towel. I was also pleased that there were several interchangeable wires in the kit. It will be nice if they ever get bored, but from my experience I'm sure there's still a long way to go. Also, they sent a free cleaning knife. I will add a video soon!
