Quality Brush. Wears, doesn't fling off metal bits.

This is a quality brush. I used it for a bit of woodworking and for rust removal from some metal.Pros:-Doesn't fling off metal bits like steel brushes. I always found that hazardous.-Polishes metal rather than just scraping into it like a grinding blade or metal brush.-The stem is hex, so it won't slip like many metal brushes I've used.Cons:-It does wear a bit quickly, especially on metal, so you might pick up a few if you're doing a big project. See photo.-When it wears, it doesn't do so…

Pros
  • Loved it. Works as planned
Cons
  • Not very effective - back to using wire brushes for removing paint and rust scale

Super Product: my feedback

Only product that I have found that can clean cured grout off of hard tileswithout tile damage. I bought all three grades (fine, medium, and coarse)and between the three my job was made much easier and with excellent results.

Pros
  • Good quality cup brush, I use it for reclaimed wood
Cons
  • The cup shape can make the brush difficult to use on flat surfaces

Fixed my messy grout job.

If you did a grout job and it looks terrible this is the item you need. I used muriatic acid and this miracle tool and now my tile job is beautiful. I was getting the grout off concrete which is not an easy task but this tool along with the acid did the trick.

Pros
  • Good product for mild to medium cleaning
Cons
  • The brush can leave swirl marks on some surfaces, making them unsightly

Great cup brush. good for me

Hard to find in local hardware or home improvement stores. Works great at easily removing dried grout, mortar and other adhesives.

Pros
  • good product good price
Cons
  • The cup design can make it difficult to maneuver the brush around curves or rounded surfaces

Does not appear to be genuine DICO, just packaging

Does not have Dico Nyalox printed on tool like others shown online. It does have genuine packaging. It is possible they sell the genuine branded part separately and reuse the packaging to sell a knockoff. I am not completely sure. Also, it seems to scratch stainless steel more than a wire brush.

Pros
  • Got to remove grout haze. Worked like I thought it would.
Cons
  • The grip is uncomfortable and can cause hand fatigue

I tossed it in the garbage and used some 3M scotchbrite pads

I bought this to prep a UTV bed for a spray-in bed liner. It didn't do much more than polish the paint I was trying to scratch up. I tossed it in the garbage and used some 3M scotchbrite pads.

Pros
  • It works like a charm! Tough enough to get concrete and stone work clean without damaging!
Cons
  • It doesn't work at all. You would do much better with steel wool.

Do Not Try This On Tile!

I bought this hoping to remove excess grout from tile. However I also bought the orange and blue ones that are less abrasive. I started out using the blue, the least abrasive of the three but could immediately see that it was just slightly etching my tile! So it was useless for what I needed it for. However I think it would definitely have other uses.

Pros
  • Did a great job of removing dried grout of title.
Cons
  • The narrow cup shape can make it difficult to get into tight spaces

Great product for grout residue removal!

The Dico Nyalox Cup Brush was everything I expected it to be. We had some residue leftover from grout on tile and this helped take it right off without scouring the finish. The brush does wear in one direction and needs to be reversed periodically to ensure even wear. I found it takes light grout off by using it level and digs by tilting it at an angle and applying pressure. Two brushes were able to complete 500sqft, we had a lot of residue, haha. Great product!

Pros
  • Product work well on tile and did not damage the stone.
Cons
  • The brush may not be suitable for use on some metal surfaces
