I love this inexpensive fuel pump for my 1991 Miata. I didn't even have to use the wire connection that comes with the kit, it plugs right into my fuel pump mount, whatever it's called. I also didn't use the 3 inch hose; I used a long filter sock, not a small square one. The only work required was cutting some rubber from the black rubber grommet/grommet you can see in the promotional photo which is circular with a U cutout. This will help hold and stabilize the fuel pump on the fuel pump bracket. Warning: You will need a sharp new blade to cut the rubber material off the round rubber bushing/sleeve. It takes some force to cut off a piece of rubber material, even if it's such a small piece. We all know what can happen to the user when using new blades with force; Hands off. Another reason I bought this fuel pump is because my gas tank was rusty and full of dirt from bad gas that stank of paint. After rinsing out the bad gas, scraping off most of the dirt, and giving the gas tank a thorough cleaning, I added new gas with a 12-ounce gas and fuel injection treatment product. Use of this pump will only be temporary until I replace it with a quality gas tank from a junkyard. I know what it takes to properly deal with a rusty, smelly gas tank. Dealing with a bad gas tank just isn't worth the hard work. This fuel pump is exactly the same as the one on my 91 5.0 Mustang, believe it or not. It's exactly the same as mine for the old Corolla I had. I am very surprised that it is so versatile. Maybe it has more power for v8 for my Mustang. Yes and I used the WIX petrol filter which is installed on the passenger side at the rear of the car near the rear wheel. Miata jumped up. A happy customer is here, although I don't know how long that will be.
