THIS IS AN ANDROID TABLET WITH BUILT-IN FM RADIO. MUST HAVE WIFI FOR EVERYONE. GOOGLE MAPS MUST HAVE WI-FI TO WORK. I installed this item in my 2014 Ford Expedition XLT on February 2nd, 2020. The product arrived the next day with no problems and I went to disassemble my dashboard. Again no problem. Took out the factory radio, which had steering wheel controls, Bluetooth, and an XM radio, but no touchscreen or backup camera. So, I got to the wiring. It turns out the 2014 Ford Expedition's radio wiring is downright insane. I spent hours looking up schematics trying to figure out what's what. The instructions in the box with this radio are worthless. They show you nothing of value. Obviously the twisted wires were the speakers, so that's not a problem. My problem started with the ACC cable. That is, when the key is on, the radio turns on, but turns off when the key is in the off position. I ended up having to run additional wires to the fuse box and connect it to fuse #27, a 10 amp HVAC fuse. This fuse works when the key is in the "on" position and turns off when the key is turned off. If you don't bother with the ACC wire, just connect it to a permanent HOT wire and it will work, but may drain the battery. I also couldn't find a backlight cable to dim the screen when the headlights were on. The GPS module works well. If your car stereo is an OEM car stereo, you need to buy an antenna adapter from any parts store. After figuring out the ACC wire, I connected 4 speaker wires and turned on the unit. It went down well. I'm not sure what Android system they use, but this is different. It has YouTube music, YT Kids and Revain, Prime videos etc. Bluetooth music from your phone was good. The sound quality was better than the factory radio. GOOGLE MAPS is a beta version of the app, but it will ONLY WORK IF YOU HAVE WI-FI. WITHOUT Wi-Fi, it's just a Bluetooth radio. All in all I spent 6 to 8 hours in my garage installing this item. I also bought a $16 backup camera that also took a long time to wire. There is a range of video in/out cables available for this radio so there are many options. I didn't understand the mirroring function. I have to use the PdaNet+ app for the free hotspot as AT&T loves to trick us customers into paying for unlimited data. It's working fine at the moment. There are two USB sockets on the radio that you can use. I put in a flash drive and it worked great opening pictures and videos. In conclusion, if you don't have a permanent data source, this item is just a tablet with FM radio capabilities with nothing installed. So far it suits me. If I encounter any problems I will update this review.
