I have been sewing a suit for myself for many years. In winter, the suit I put in the feeder is eaten up in a few days. I run through 40 pounds in the winter. None of these commercial suits I've tried fit that well. They sit in the bird feeders for months until I finally drop them on the ground under a bush. Maybe they'll be eaten by bugs, and the bugs will be eaten by birds. As I type this I watch my birds eat these costume balls. They prefer dried worms, seeds, and even peanuts. Looks like these won't be eaten. Soon they become fertilizer for plants.
