I always use a Bluetooth headset with my desktop computer, but sometimes I just want to watch a few short online videos without the headset. So I was looking for the simplest column with a small footprint. Easiest, with just one cable, and this USB speaker fits the bill for me. The packaging was typical, with simple branding. The build quality looks good. The gray and black finish looks great but attracts fingerprints. I plugged it into the nearest USB port and that was it, it was recognized automatically and I was able to output music without having to install additional drivers. I turned on rock music and my wife immediately noticed how loud it was. Not the best device for music, but at this price point it's loud enough to enjoy movies. It has punchy bass at high levels, but you won't notice the bass at lower levels. How loud is this speaker? Well I have a 46 inch TV in my room and this speaker can outperform the TV. Now I can watch and enjoy the series without leaving my computer. In general, there is not much to say about this column. It's simple: just one cable, takes up little space and is loud enough for multimedia consumption. If you're looking for a basic but loud speaker, this is a good option.
