I never write negative reviews but hopefully someone will avoid wasting time and money after reading this. I didn't even get to the rail install yet, I was still assembling the bolt and geared nut into the rail. Measured exactly as instructions depicted. The geared nut bound up on itself and the hex drive stripped immediately. I finally got it taken back apart and checked measurements, tried again with the other geared nut in the package and the same thing happened. I can't imagine if I had gotten further into install and had to ruin railing to get it back apart as others have mentioned. Find another way to install your railings because this isn't it.
