Works. A bit of a hassle to lift the kayaks to the top. I don't think my car (Sienna) had room for 2 pairs of J-Holders so I went with these. I use Thule surfboard supports (which I used to have) to stabilize the kayaks on the side, they keep the kayaks in place even when not tethered (helps a lot with docking). You can also use other types of supports. On my car I had to use 3 out of 4 props because the prop handle sticks out too far (rear right). Buy an extra pair of straps just in case. 2 straps per kayak (2 included).
