I use these to replace bulkhead connectors on a 1986 302 Bronco XLT. The device's locking/unlocking mechanism is superior to that used by most domestic automakers of the time. Only one hand is required to unlock the click - THANK YOU! This compensates for the relatively lower strength of crimp terminals (which must be done to take advantage of their water resistance) compared to OEM solder connections. As mentioned in other reviews it does not come with assembly instructions so please assume you want/need to use published knowledge, knowledge of others and mine as follows: 1 - Orange waterproof sleeves are mated to a female connector head, as is the yellow one loop insert . 2 - The yellow insert of the pin connects to the "male" connector. 3 - Insert the yellow loop insert into the socket until it stops, then insert the orange sleeve on top and finally insert the plug into the socket. Socket to place the orange waterproof grommet (which should be under the socket's yellow plastic loop) 4 - Then insert the other yellow insert into the plug head so that the yellow ends of the plug head are facing the socket head. .5 - Slide the red rubber grommets onto each bare wire, crimp the silver connector around the space between the two flanges on each red grommet, then crimp the center of the silver connector collar onto the bare wire the appropriate position in the male/female heads. I would have shared photos, but after completing the aforementioned $55 an hour for this seller, the cost of a technical editor, I claim to have done my part.
