will improve your ride over factory OE shocks. Update set below after 21 months

shock absorbers work as they should. If I had to replace them again I would choose the "Standard" damper over the "HD". The HD damper is too stiff for a comfortable ride. Installed on e350 with Advanced Ambulance Pack. UPDATE 2019 They still seem to be driving a little rough. but I am complaining that the rubber bushings on all 4 shocks are split and cracked. Not very happy that the Bilstein rubber mounts didn't even last 2 years. I have installed various brands of shock absorbers over the years and have never had a rubber bushing failure in less than 2 years. I usually change the shock and the bushings remain intact even though they're 10 years old. I have no idea what's going on with Bilstein, but it's obvious that they chose to use very poor quality rubber for the shock absorbers. Now I have to try to find replacement bushings and basically go through the shock replacement process again. UPDATE July 2020: Bilstein does not guarantee bushings at all. I just got off the phone with them, they don't even sell me replacement bushings as they say eyelet bushings are vulcanized to the shock eyelet and cannot be replaced. You need to buy new shock absorbers to solve this problem. Jay from Bilstein NC then tried to tell me that it was my fault the lug bushings failed because I had them installed on my 99 e350 ambulance and that it was too heavy. These shock absorbers are designed for the e350 and e450 motorhomes. MY GOD. I assure you, an extended chassis e350 or e450 RV is at least 2,000 pounds heavier than my ambulance. I would look elsewhere for shocks if you don't plan to replace them within a few years as a small piece of rubber is out of warranty and beyond repair. GRRR!
