Installed this wiring harness on a 2004 Jeep Liberty. The installation instructions were clear and precise. I removed the right rear panel from the body, there is a connector. I was able to install the wiring harness in minutes. Didn't have to be cut, just glued. Attaching the trailer plug end took a little longer as the rear bumper is held in place with thin vinyl clips. I drilled and cut two holes in the hitch to attach the plug holder. The whole process took about an hour. The dealer installed the hitch as part of a factory recall, but the wiring harness was not included. I asked for an estimate to install the wiring harness and was told it would take 4 hours plus the price of the wiring harness ($110). The total amount was $412. The Hopkins harness costs about $35. Sometimes it's good to do a little research on the internet.
