Great kettle, whistles just like a kid who hasn't learned to whistle yet. Looks great. Cork grips look incredible. They get hot, but I had no problem using them with my bare hands. The spout works great, doesn't drip or pour. The whole opening mechanism seems a bit useless, but it works great and makes it all the more impressive. The gas cap works great and offers easy access. The biggest problem is the whistle. You need to be near him in a relatively quiet room and pay attention to him or you might miss him. I wouldn't go into a different room and not expect the whistle to remind me that I had something on the stove. It looks like a lot of steam is escaping between the pipe cap junction and the spout instead of going through the pipe. If it had been sealed a little better it probably would have been perfect. Right now it sounds like a kid trying to figure out how to whistle.
